• The Spring 2014 season is underway. Through the first 13 tournaments of the Spring the Coyotes are 34-35-1 with a Championship in the double elimination ASA Tiger's Tail, a 3rd round finish in the ASA St Patrick's Day, advancement to the semifinals of SpringTime in the Rockies, Gold bracket in the USSSA College Exposure, and bracket championships in the ASA Foothills Challenge as well as the USSSA Diamond Girls. 

• Our next games are in the USSSA State Tournament at the Barnes Complex. Please root for us!

• The 3 Responses to Adversity: Consider adversity like a bath of boiling hot water. There are 3 ways to react to being tossed into boiling water. The first response is like a carrot. Carrots get soft and yield to hot water, losing their strength and their shape. The second response is like a lobster. Lobsters look the same on the outside, but inside they turn hard and perish. Lastly, there is the coffee bean. Once exposed to hot water, the coffee bean does not change itself, but it gives itself to the water and makes the boiling water into something better than it was. So the next time you face adversity - decide what you would like to be - the carrot, the lobster, or the coffee bean - and be that person! 

• Ducks & Eagles: When something unfair happens to a duck, she quacks, complains, and whines. She is negative, and she is focused on how unfair life is to her. In contrast, an eagle stays high above any problems on the ground, soaring in the wind and remaining ever vigilant. When problems on the ground subside, the eagle is presented with an opportunity, and she swoops in and takes full advantage! The eagle is always positive, being prepared for skies to clear, prairie dogs to wander a little too far from their holes, or fish to swim a little close to the surface. During unfair times, it is perfectly natural to feel the urge to be a duck, but ask yourself - do you wish to be a duck all your life or are you better off being an eagle!!!!!
